About Mike Murray
Built on Hard Work. Grounded in Community.
Mike is the oldest grandson of Lawrence & Ethal (Diver) Murray, and Manny & Dorothy (Houle) Mullen. As the son of Michael Murray Sr. & Kathy (Houle) Murray, Mike grew up deeply rooted in family and community. From an early age, he learned the importance of ethics, hard work, and service to others—lessons that continue to guide his every decision today.
Professionally, Mike has over 40 years of experience in construction and 25 years of project management. He has served as a private contractor, carpenter, foreman, superintendent, project manager, and Division Director for construction and renovation. His work includes overseeing multiple housing projects that provide safe, sustainable homes for Tribal members.
Beyond his professional contributions, Mike has served on numerous Tribal boards, including the Law Enforcement Board, Human Services Board, Insurance Board, School Board, RBC Compensation Board, and Ceded Territory. These roles have given him an in-depth understanding of Tribal governance, operations, and community needs.
Mike’s leadership is rooted in listening to the people, respecting Tribal culture, and taking action that strengthens the community. He believes that meaningful change comes from collaboration, dedication, and a lifelong commitment to service.

Community Leadership
